What To Buy: We know that you're ready and eager to begin vaping, and you can use this quick tip to learn what you need to buy. If you're looking for more detailed information other than these tips, read our What You Need To Start Vaping article, which is a lengthy list sharing everything you need to know to get started. When you're creating a vaping setup, you first need a vape mod. The vape mod is the vaping device that makes it possible for you to vape -- holding many functions, features, and they're available in various shapes and sizes. To power the vape mod, you'll need a specific type of battery used for vape mods. The next thing you'll need is a vape tank that typically rests on top of the vape mod. The vape tank is the part to the setup that holds the vape juice. And, the last thing you'll need to pull this puzzle together is vape juice, the liquid that your device will turn into vapor. Once these parts are all together, you'll be able to produce vapor. We highly recommend checking out The Best Vape Mod of 2016, an article where we share what we feel is the best vape mod, along with telling you all about it. The problem here is that the FDA is regulating vaping as tobacco. But why are they regulating it as a tobacco product?
Even though vaporizers contain absolutely no tobacco, the FDA chose to take this direction after they failed to regulate vaping devices as pharmaceutical products. Rather than allowing regulation of this industry be controlled by the Consumer Products Safety Commission, who already work with hundreds of thousands of consumer products to ensure their safety, the FDA believe that they had the authority to clamp down on this industry. In their mind, the fact that these products can be used to inhale nicotine gave them authority as a drug delivery system, which failed, so now they are aiming to clamp down by calling everything tobacco. -- Daniel Hall, Journalist at GuideToVaping.com

We can recommend new products to you all day, but you must always focus on buying products that fit your wants, needs, and style specifically.
However, we feel that the best products are the one's that offer these main features:
Appearance: You can't just buy any product if you don't like the looks of it. Finding a product that offers an appearance that you're pleased with is vital. No one is encouraged to continue using their device if they don't even like the way it looks. You want to feel comfortable with your vape mod, vape tank, and you even want vape juice that offers a great presentation in its appearance.
Features: It's vital that you choose products with the best and most features to suit you. Products these days are more advanced than ever and offer plenty of features for you to take advanced of. The most common features vapers look for is a long battery life (the battery's mAh), the power (wattage) that it offers, its built-in modes such as temperature control, and even safety specifications that not only product your device, but also protects you.
Performance: The last thing you need to ensure becomes a make it or break it perk is the performance. A product can look good and offer plenty of internal features, but if it doesn't perform great, you won't be satisfied with your product. Feel free to look over our Product Reviews section, where we break these product down and tell you how they all perform.
The user can also request a certain nicotine strength. Nicotine isn’t required to be in vape juice in order to vaporize it. There are some users who in fact do not use nicotine. These type of ‘vapers’ are called “No-Nic” vapers. The common nicotine strengths are from 0mg to 24mg. It is said to be safer to not exceed 24mg of nicotine and most electronic cigarette vendors will not offer more than that amount either. The most common nicotine strength used is 18mg on the high side and 12mg on the low side.
As new products continue to emerge, more advanced electronic cigarettes have enabled vapers to drop their nicotine strengths since these advance devices deliver nicotine more efficiently. In fact, there’s a study that has been published proving that advanced devices deliver nicotine greater than cig-a-likes (an e-cig that looks very similar to a real tobacco cigarette). Choosing the right flavor can become a make it or break it deal for your vape journey. There are many vapers that enjoy fruit flavored vape juice, while there are others that enjoy menthol vape juice. It all comes down to your preference. We have loads of information on Guide To Vaping, for example we’ve recently shared the 5 best menthol juice flavors in a recent article, and there’s plenty more like this to help you along the way. A mod will typically have a set wattage or voltage (power) that it can go up to and you can adjust it as you want. It will also likely have a screen for you to see what is going on with your device. In addition, there will be a fire / activation button and two buttons to control the wattage / voltage up or down. A mod is commonly powered by an 18650 battery or two 18650 batteries. Some batteries are built into the device where you can not replace them and rely on a charging cable to charge the device, while other batteries can be taken out of the device and charged externally through a specific charger.
Understanding vape mods, how they work, where to get them, and which is the best is all information we answer here on Guide To Vaping. Sub-Ohm Tanks became popular within the vaping market due to their larger e-liquid capacity, their super low resistance, their wide open or adjustable airflow options, and their ability to perform incredibly well. There are many vape tanks available on the market for your choosing, whether you're looking for the best flavor tanks or the best cloud chasing tanks.
Since vape tanks now offer great performance than in the past, there are a few tips we can give you to prepare you.
Nicotine Strength: Choosing your nicotine strength for your vape tank is one that is important. Though you want to satisfy your nicotine craving, you must understand that these new high performance tanks are able to deliver nicotine better than past vape tanks. And, not to forget to mention that since these vape tanks offer a better performance, the throat-hit caused by nicotine is greatly enhanced. With that being said, if you're using a sub-ohm tank, you'll want to keep the nicotine strength low. If you're new to vaping, you can try starting at 12MG, and if the throat-hit is too much for you or the nicotine is too much, you can step it down to 6MG or 3MG. Most vapers these days typically prefer a smoother hit and require less nicotine, meaning they're using 3MG nicotine. If you're using a standard clearomizer, you can increase the nicotine strength up to 24MG being the maximum most stores offer.
PG/VG Ratio: The PG/VG ratio depends on how you prefer your vape juice (e-liquid). PG is a thinner liquid that is known to increase throat-hit and enhance flavor. On the other hand, VG is a thicker liquid that is known for enhancing vapor production. When choosing the ratio that best fits you, you'll have to keep these things in mind when looking for a vape tank to match the liquid you're wanting to use. Most vape juice companies now days offer 50% VG and up, but 60% and 70% VG is most common.
Resistance: Vape Tanks that are referred to as clearomizers offer 1.0Ω coils and higher, while vape tanks referred to as sub-ohm tanks will offer below 1.0Ω. The most common resistance offered on most tanks is 0.5Ω, which allows you to run between 30 and 60 watts generally.
Coil Options: Coil options for vape tanks is a very important perk to look at. Some vape tanks offer simple coils, while some offer more advanced coil options. When looking for a vape tank, find one that will best match your vape mod. For an example, if you have a vape mod with temperature control capabilities, look for a vape tank that has temperature control coils, such as Ni200, Titanium, and Stainless Steel coils.
E-Liquid Capacity: The e-liquid capacity is another very important part to vape tanks. you've want to find a vape tank that has a large e-liquid capacity, meaning a vape tank that can hold the most e-liquid in the actual tank at one time. The more e-liquid capacity the vape tank has, the more time you have before you need to refill the tank. However, if you prefer a smaller vape tank design, you'll have to sacrifice the e-liquid capacity for the smaller size.
